„Vilnius dega“ (Vilnius is Burning) – tai kolektyvinis blogas, kolektyvinis romanas, paroda Turine, kolektyvinė patirtis, visa tai ir daugiau lydintis veiksmas, kuriuos įkvėpė klasika tapęs filmas Paris Is Burning (pažodžiui – „Paryžius dega“, 1990) ir daugybė kūrybinių eksperimentų, aptiktų Vilniuje, Lietuvos ir boltksploatacijos (Baltxploitation) sostinėje. Projekto logika remiasi siekiu priversti miestą būti kažkuo kitu (kitaip – dragging the city), o patį miestą čia žaidžia/atstovauja įsivaizduojama žmonių bendruomenė.
Šis blogas yra kolektyvinis blogas, todėl kiekvienas jūsų ir jumyse gali laisvai prisijungti ir išviešinti savo ir nesavo tekstus, fotografijas ar kitokius veiksmus skaitmeniniame pavidale.
Kaip tai padaryti (prisijungti)?

2007 vasarą šis tinklapis tampa informacijos apie projektą ‘the joy is not mentioned / chicks on lions playing bingo with you’ centru. ‘The joy is not mentioned’ - tai radijo transliacijos, šokių mieste serija ir paroda Šiuolaikinio meno centre; ir tebesitęsiantis kolektyvinis romanas.

Vilnius is Burning is a collective blog, a collective novel, an exhibition in Torino, a collective experience and other activities inspired by the classical film “Paris Is Burning” (1990) and many creative experiments found in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania and Baltxploitation. It is based on the logic of dragging the city, making it into something else than it is or appears to be.
The book “Vilnius is Blurring” that has spanned from this project was published in May 2007.
In the summer of 2007 this blog has become an information center of ‘The Joy is Not Mentioned’: open-source radio broadcasts, series of dance events in the city, exhibition at the Contemporary Art Centre and a continuous collective novel.
As www.vilniusburning.lt is the collective blog, everyone is invited to submit their texts, images or other resources in digital formats. You may easily do it by pressing the register button on the right side of your screen (you may find the register button by pressing about button on the same right side).
All you have to do later is to sign in.
